How Areas Work

Select Your Areas

Divide your rounds into smaller, manageable areas where you're happy to operate. These areas, known as geofenced locations, can encompass multiple smaller zones.

Two Vendor Street Modes

Operate in two modes: “Rounds” and “Whippin”.

On Rounds Mode

Automatically notifies local customers when you enter their area, saving you from leaving your route.

Whippin Mode

Activate when you're not as busy or after 7 PM when bell ringing isn't allowed access to whole area.

Whippin Method

When you receive an order, accept it and ring bells on the way to the delivery location, ensuring a guaranteed sale.

How Areas are allocated

In Whippin Land, vendors have the flexibility to choose which areas they want to serve. These areas, known as geofenced locations, allow vendors to operate in two distinct modes: On Rounds and Whippin.

In On Rounds mode, vendors automatically or manually activate their presence in a specific area when they drive into it. This triggers notifications to local customers, letting them know that the ice cream van is nearby, thereby reducing the need to travel, remain your usual route.

However, if business is slow or it’s after 7 PM when traditional bell ringing is restricted, vendors can switch to Whippin mode. In this mode, the entire designated area becomes available for orders. This allows vendors to utilize the proven Whippin method: accepting orders and ringing bells on the way to the delivery location. This approach ensures a guaranteed sale and maximizes efficiency, as vendors continue to engage with customers while on the move.

With Whippin, vendors can’t lose once they’ve received a Whippin order, as it combines the convenience of digital ordering with the timeless charm of the ice cream van, creating a win-win situation for both vendors and customers.
